Simply put, our goal is to be the best - and most unique - place in Johnston County to have a youth or adult birthday party (plus a really convenient, affordable, and welcoming place to rent for other events.)
Goals aren't achieved overnight, however, so if you have a suggestion on how we can improve, we're all ears. Information on parties and other rentals is below.

The basic party includes Pavilion rental, use of patio and fenced-in backyard, and yard games. Inflatables can be added for a 15 foot bounce house ($25 extra) and/or a 16 foot slide ($50 extra - $75 for both.) We do not supply cups, plates, napkins, etc, simply because that's usually something parents take care of anyway, but we'll have plain tablecloths on hand if you need them. The basic party is $300 plus either or both inflatables, but with all the space we have at the Finch-Lee House, you can also get pretty creative....

This is the part where you get to personalize your child's party. We have the space to get creative if you want to. If you just want bounce houses, yard games, Multi-golf, and all the cake and food synonymous with kid parties, that's completely fine with us. But if you want more, together we can probably make that happen.

There are so, so many ideas. Face painting, a clown, laser tag, scavenger hunts, photo booths, paper airplane contests, cookie decorating, etc. If your imagination is boundless, we'll help you make it happen if it is a feasible request. Just ask and we'll see what we can do. (Extra fees could obviously apply to extra stuff.)



Sundays at the Finch-Lee House are going to be more than just rentals of the Pavilion. There will be a Sunday afternoon vendor market from March through November, and we want to offer a day where families have a place to come hang out, relax, play, etc. But you CAN have a party or event on Sundays. It just won't be as private as a Saturday event. There could be a few other kids using the bounce houses or we might reserve half the building to sell lemonade on a hot summer day for people enjoying the Sunday Market, but you can still have a full birthday party and a full party room. It just won't be as private as Saturday parties. And therefore, anytime there is a Sunday Vendor Market planned, parties and events on Sundays will be discounted. Need a great spot to have a milestone birthday? Or you’re just super stoked to be turning 43? We can help. Between the Pavilion, the huge patio, and the privacy of our backyard, we have a perfect spot for a simple get-together, a themed party, a casino night party, a drinking games / yard games party, or just about anything else you can dream up. Let’s talk about it. Most adult parties will be given a 3 hour window starting at 7:00 pm on Friday or Saturday night and a minimum cost of $400 to rent the space.

Don’t see a party theme that excites you but you still want to have you or your child’s birthday party here? Just ask. We might not be able to accommodate every request, but if you want to have a dual besties party where you decide to recreate scenes from Grease in the backyard and then transition to goat yoga in the front yard, we might entertain that. The only limit might be your imagination. So ask us!! Let’s come up with something that’s perfect for you and / or your child.

Baby shower? Wedding shower? A graduation party? The Pavilion can seat up to 60 and another 15-20 under the patio, so we can handle just about any small- to mid-sized event. And it's not just limited to personal needs. How about a place to host a Christmas party for your staff? Or a place to reward your employees for a great month of sales by reserving the entire Backyard Multi-Golf course for a team-building activity? Here's the deal with this schedule. It's not necessarily set in stone. Sure, we wish we had four events every Saturday, but we're still new. That will take time. So it's pretty simple. If you want to have a party or event here, and the time you want if different than what you see in the chart, we'll find a way to help you make it happen. And events after 6:30 at night are definitely allowed.

Lastly, just because it has 2:00 to 4:00 set aside every Saturday for youth birthday parties does not mean you can't rent it out for a baby shower or any other event. It simply means that we hope to eventually stick to those time slots on the weekends.
Refunds, Rescheduling, Cancellations, Weather, etc.
Weather Policy: **READ THIS**

****As parents ourselves, it's a little nerve-racking to plan a party with outdoor elements. Kids LOVE outdoor parties, but weather doesn't always know that. For that reason, all parties booked with us will have two options if weather (rain, cold, etc) ruins at least half the allotted party time.
​
Option 1: We will reduce the price of the party by 1/3.
​
Option 2: The party can be completely rescheduled for the following day (usually Sunday) or another Saturday if there is an opening. There will be no rescheduling fees.
​
Weather is nobody's fault, but we cannot and will not force full payment for a party that was disappointing to a child. See additional party rules and guidelines below for any further details, along with information on refunds, cancellations, etc.
​
Inflatables will be included in every youth party unless it is below 55 degrees, it is raining, or the wind is such that inflatables can be easily deemed dangerous.

Additional Policies for Parties and Events
​
Refund Policy - For all events where a deposit was required, a full refund will be issued if requested at least 7 days before the date of the party minus $15 that covers credit card processing for both initial purchase and refund. Between 4 and 7 days, a party can be cancelled but no deposit refund will be issued. Finally, if a party is cancelled three days or less prior to the event, the deposit will not be refunded and an additional $50 fee will be charged.

Rescheduling for Any Reason Other Than Weather - Any deposit paid will simply be applied to the new date and time. There will be no additional fees for rescheduling. Things happen. We're still thrilled you chose us to host your event, so we'll make it as easy on you as possible to reschedule.

If The Finch-Lee House has to Cancel Your Event - We obviously don't anticipate this happening, but things happen that are also out of our control. In the rare event that we have to cancel your party, we will do whatever is necessary to make it right, up to and including rescheduling, offering a 20% discount, and we will entertain any special requests should you have one.

Siblings as Partygoers - A sibling that is an active participant in the party will be counted as one of the 12 allowed party invitees. In other words, if there are 14 kids participating in the party, and the party lists $15 for each additional party-goer over 12, you will be charged $30 additional for the inclusion of the two additional party-goers. We are also extremely fair people and are well aware that every sibling will not be a 100% active participant. For example, if a two-year-old is only bouncing on one bounce house for 10 minutes, we're not going to count that child as a party-goer.

Double Party for Kids - If you would like to have a double party for kids, we will absolutely allow that. We will simply add $100 to the price of the party and cap the combined partygoers at 20.
​
Double Party for Adults - Adult parties already have a high number of allowed partygoers which is based almost solely off of space, so because a double party won't be allowed to add to your potential number of attendees, the guidelines for combined adult parties will not change. For example, if you want to celebrate both Pam and Sam's birthdays at one event, the prices and attendance caps will not change, so the price of such a party will not change either.
